Training and eating with your cycle
Your body doesn't respond the same way every week of the month, so Strathlon can adapt to your menstrual cycle if you'd like it to. This is entirely your choice. There's no single switch that turns "cycle mode" on — instead there are four separate opt-ins, each independent, so you turn on only the parts that suit you and leave the rest alone.
Four opt-ins, all in your control
In your settings you'll find four cycle-aware options. They're separate on purpose — each one does its own thing, and each is off until you choose to switch it on:
- Cycle-aware nutrition. Lets the app gently adjust your nutrition targets across your cycle phases.
- Cycle-aware training. Lets it shift the emphasis of your training to match how your body tends to respond.
- Cycle insights. Surfaces calm, plain-English notes about where you are in your cycle and what that can mean.
- Cycle-aware AI coaching. A premium opt-in that lets your AI Coach factor in your current phase when it gives advice.
Turn on all four, one of them, or none. Whatever you pick, you can change it again at any time.
How it adapts to you
As you move through your cycle phases, Strathlon can quietly adjust two things and surface a third. It can nudge your nutrition targets, and it can shift the emphasis of your training — both to match the way your body tends to respond at different points in the month. Alongside that, cycle insights offer short, plain-English notes so you understand what's happening rather than just seeing numbers change.
All of this works from your cycle tracking, including data you already keep in Apple Health. The more consistent your tracking, the better it can line the adjustments up with where you actually are.
Your cycle data stays on your device
This is the part that matters most. Your cycle data stays on your phone. It is never backed up to iCloud, never synced, and never shared — that's a hard rule, not a setting you have to find and switch off.
There is exactly one exception, and it only happens because you ask for it: cycle-aware AI coaching. When — and only when — you turn that on, your coach receives the minimal phase context it needs to give you better advice. Nothing more, and nothing at all unless you've deliberately switched it on.
What's included, and what's premium
Cycle-aware nutrition, cycle-aware training and cycle insights are part of the app. Cycle-aware AI coaching is a premium opt-in, alongside the rest of your AI Coach. As with everything here, it's yours to enable only if and when you want it.
